I know exactly what you mean, the hair fair is laggy enough without fairies, mermaids and people with enormous boufants slowing everything down even more! I've seen it all at these fairs, wings, dragons, birds, loads of flexi prim silks and scripts running galore, one girl even had a ARC (avatar rendering cost) of over 30k!!! One year it took me 3 days to look round the hair fair because I kept crashing or leaving due to the frustration of the sims running so flipping slow! Like you say it aint a fashion parade, we just want to be able to look round the fair without flying through the ground never to be seen again!

p.s. Apart from that hair fairs rock! They're a great place to get fantastic freebie hair, perfect for contests and for trying out new looks before you spend a small fortune.
